Make your Own Natural Cleaning Products. It is fun to get into the kitchen and come up with your own creation. You will also become excited about cleaning with your newly made creations. It makes cleaning a rewarding experience rather than a dreaded action.
All Purpose Cleaner
To Make an an old fashioned apple cider all purpose cleaner you will need to have a spray bottle on hand.
For 32 ounces
1 cup Vinegar or Lemon Juice ( or use more if you want it to be stronger)
* Apple Cider Vinegar can be staining but less people are allergic it than the White Vinegar
* Lemon Juice must be kept refrigerated
Fill the rest up with water
add 10 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)
or boil some herbs and pour that in ( this will not last longer than 2 weeks)
add one tablespoon of Castile Soap (optional)
Spray and Wipe.
Use as a Daily Shower spray to cut down on the soap scum. Just spray leave on for 20 minutes and wipe with a towel or spray and leave to dry.
Use as an All Purpose Cleaner for your kitchen counters, appliances, floors, windows, mirrors. Use on your window sills. Pour about 1/2 cup in a bucket of water to mop any floor. Use in your Dishwasher as a dish rinse or in the laundry as a rinse.
Get a box of Baking Soda
You can use a wet sponge , sprinkle the baking soda on it and scrub your sinks, toilets, tile, and counter tops in place of using a chlorine based cleanser.
Fizzing with baking soda and vinegar or Lemon – Washing Soda will fizz too!
Take your All Purpose cleaner and use it with the baking soda. There will be a fizzing action. It is a safe fizz. It is a homemade scrubbing bubbles.
To freshen drains – sprinkle some baking soda down the drain and pour some of your all purpose cleaner on top. Then turn the water on and let it rinse down. It will deodorize your drain and it will eat things that get stuck in your drain.
Carpet and Baking Soda Take some baking soda and add your favorite essential oil. You can also add Nancy Power Herbs to the baking soda. Shake up! Sprinkle on the carpet. Vacuum up.
Carpet Stains and Baking Soda
Baking soda is helpful for removing stains. Take one cup of baking soda and four cups of water and let it dissolve then put in a spray bottle and spray on stains.
Toilet Bowls: Get a cheap pumice from the grocery store (one that falls apart easily) use that to scrub the ring out.
Get a Shower Broom
Get a broom from the dollar store or anywhere. You can use this broom for cleaning out the tub and shower. Get a good stiff broom. This will keep you from having to bend over so much and it will help to save your back.
Pet Odor (Urine or other)Get some Super Enymes Caps by Now or some Papaya Enymes from the grocery store or health food store. Dissolve one cap in 8 oz of water and spray or pour on surface leave to dry. * Test area to make certain it will not stain the carpet.
Lavender Essential oil is universal, it has all of the properties needed for cleaning. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and boost the immune sytem. Most everyone can use it with no allergic reaction. Eucalyptus Essential Oil is the best for cutting grease. Add some to your mixtures and works great on those rings around the tub, grease on mirrors. Greasy goo on the counters and such. Also will cut soap scum.
Also good on grease Tea Tree oil, then Lavender, then Lemon then Orange.
Permanent ink marks try Cinnamon or Clove Bud Essential Oil mixed with some olive oil.
Window Cleaning – The most effective natural window cleaner is Club Soda. Just plain straight Club Soda. Vinegar works too! Use your All Purpose cleaner.
Vinegar works well on soap scum however it is at its best when used as a rinse in the Laundry – Add to your dishwasher rinse arear or use in the shower after scrubing it to make a nice rinse and it will really sparkle.
Organic Essential Oils high a very high vibration which means that they have a good strong life force and they give you and your home good vibrations.
MOLD IN GROUT: Must be scrubbed with a srub brush and baking soda or borax then rinsed with some vinegar and water solution and hot water then dry completely. You may want to wear a mask and long gloves to protect yourself from the mold spores.
Dry Baking Soda or Borax will leave a residue try this:
Dissolve the baking soda in water
2 cups of water to 1 tsp of salt. Salt is great on soap scum, it gets rust stains and it is a natural bleacher.
Please note that none of these techniques will work as fast as Bleach.

Please note that you can not mix vinegar with Tilex. Their are other chemical based prducts that should not be mixed with vinegar so check out the MSDS to be safe

Sodium Laureth Sulfate
I have read so much information that it can cause cancer and assumed it could however when I did a search here for it there has been no evidence that it does. It is a skin irritant and an eye irritant.
Shampoo and Dishwashing detergent can contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate – This is also surfactant that can not be mixed with Bleach Some people will use shampoo and dishwashing detergent is used to clean sinks and countertops. Be sure yours does not contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate if you are also using Bleach.
