This is the perfect yoga video for me! Not too challenging or easy. I love Adriene’s videos the most out of all of the yoga instructors on YouTube. For some reason, I always feel really relaxed and stress-free after her videos in particular. Thanks Adriene! <3 Reply 41 View all 3 replies hogan heller11 months ago (edited) I am a 14 year old boy who has constantly been stressed with sports and 8th grade.I started watching some of your videos and every time i smile. When i look in the mirror i am at peace after eating. After loosing 25 pounds from 12-14 you have helped me take my negative energy to positive energy.I feel better everyday because of you.Thank you. Reply 263 View all 4 replies Jessica G.2 years ago Hey Adrienne! First off, you're supercalifragilsticexpealidocious! <3 Or amazing. Whichever compliment you prefer 🙂 Second, I just wanted to share that you have really transformed my life. That sounds like quite the enormous claim, but it's true. I never really gave yoga a shot before. I was all into lifting weights and shoving all of my energy into the gym. And when I say shove, I mean SHOVE. I felt that expelling every piece of energy I had would result in the perfect body. However, when I finally reached a body that I would've been proud of, I found that I had no energy to celebrate. I had put so much time and energy into an image that I thought I wanted, but when I looked back, I realized that I was just burying a deep sorrow. "I don't appreciate myself, nor love myself." I said that out loud. It hurt, like a knife that found its final twist into the depths of my inner core. It shook me. So, I started a search that eventually lead me here. I'm not going to act like I immediately took your messages and put them into good use. I started practicing yoga through your videos a few days a week, but I still found that unhappiness brewing deep in my heart. I took a break (nicer word than 'stopped') from any sort of physical activity for a couple weeks. It caused me to further spiral into my self-anguish. "Why don't I feel happy? What's happening to me?" One day, I decided to just open up one of your videos on youtube and get an exercise over with, like I used to do. But the strangest thing happened. When in flat back position at the end of the video, I started crying. Bawling, actually. At first I was at a loss. Why was I crying? Was I just failing like usual? But then I realized: I finally appreciated myself. I FINALLY gave my body and mind the love it deserved. Throughout the video, I had stopped the negative self-dialogue and focused on my strengths. I had stopped expecting everything out of myself which would usually end in inner punishment. Thank you, Adriene. You have helped a change that my body and mind have been crying out for since I was a child. I can never thank you enough for that. I have a couple of questions: 1. When you were doing the upward facing dog or cobra, is it okay to move side to side in this pose? My guess is you were working out the kinks or stretching a little more. 2. When in the downward facing dog and you twist to the opposite leg/foot, is it okay for a little bit of a challenge or variation to widen the stance? What is your opinion? 3. More comment than a question, some of the backdrops for your flows and vids is absolutely gorgeous. Keep up the good work. I've been working on it pretty regularly and it's so heartwarming to see the progression I've made each time xx Reply 1 View reply Neus Patata1 year ago It was too fast and difficult for me. I've never tried yoga before (except a couple of videos some days ago), but I enjoyed it anyway, just sitting and watching and trying to understand what you say (english is not my language and you talk,... not fast, but using friendly words and all that). Anyway, thank you Adriene :) Reply 8 View all 2 replies bensu demir6 months ago wow its just wow.. It was beautiful and relaxing practice.. ı love it!!
